This Little Corn Island gem is tucked away on the most remote corner of the lesser-visited island and considered the best hotel option in the archipelago. With 16 oceanfront cabañas offering barefoot luxury and views of tree-lined, white sandy beaches meeting the Caribbean Ocean, the low-key lodge and romantic setting are well suited for some rest and relaxation. The grounds are surrounded by unspoiled tropical forest and the immaculate reef in front of the hotel is teeming with sea life. Access to this slice of paradise is via skiff from Big Corn Island and can be an adventure in itself, sometimes involving swells and getting wet. Décor of the accommodation compliments the natural environment with earthy tones, local wood furniture and adorning plants. The casual, on-site restaurant offers local food with an Asian twist, sourcing as many of the ingredients as possible from the island, their own vegetable garden and the encircling waters. Gentler activities are available such as yoga, paddling and snorkelling. Depending on the weather, a sailing trip can be arranged in a traditional handmade sailboat by local native Miskito sailors.
